How can I tell if an email thread already has a task on it?

I use tasks to keep email in line and it's working really well except sometimes I cannot tell that I have already set a task on an earlier message in the thread so I get a pile of tasks all related to the same email string. Is there a way to see any tasks specifically associated with an email when the email thread is open?

Here's an idea - setup a "GQueues" label and apply it to the email thread when you set a task.
