+1

I, too, would like to see past due tasks "float" forward on the calendar, as they can easily get lost when they remain on the exact due date on the calendar.

Thanks!

If a task is due on a certain day, but I don't complete it, it pretty much goes out of sight, then out of mind.  Is there a way to get notifications for things that are past due?

Right now there is no notification for past due tasks, besides the single reminder you can setup.

My suggestion would be to take advantage of the Smart Queues if you are not already.  There is a default "Overdue" smart queue that shows everything overdue, and you can make other custom smart queues as needed.  Making a habit of regularly checking a smart queue may help.

The plan for down the road is to allow people to setup email notifications for smart queues, so you could get a daily email of everything in the "Overdue" smart queue, for example.

I ran into the same type of issue and figured that the Overdue smart queue would help - but unless I am mistaken, there is no "counter" for the Overdue smart queue, so there is no way to tell that it contains any items (other than manually checking every day).  Did I miss something?

I did see counters on Inbox and Assignment, but not for Overdue, Due Today, Due in a Week, or All Items.  Counters for these would certainly solve my issue with tasks sliding into overdue.

Thanks so much - great software by the way - I have been using Outlook tasks for 20 years and this is the first product that seems to be able to handle most of my (very particular) needs.

Yes, sorry but there are no counters for the regular Smart Queues - since these are dynamic queues with the tasks that appear in them changing all the time based on any number of criteria, providing accurate counts for each without actually opening them has some technical challenges.  They are not insurmountable, but at this point it's not near to top of the priority list for improvements.
