I have just installed the GMail extension for Chrome using the link in the email sent to me to promote the new feature.

All appears to be in place - I have the create task button in the top (as per the video)

I can set a task and tick "attach this email" as this will be the main way I will use this.

When I press the "Create Task" button all seems to go as planned, but very soon afterwards I get an automated email from GQueues Admin telling me that there was an error creating task. Also has an error tracking code. Below is one of the codes that came through :

Error tracking code: ag1zfmdxdWV1ZXMtaHJkciULEgdBY2NvdW50GICAgLze7a8KDAsSBEl0ZW0YgICAgJX1mwoM#

Not sure if it is relevant, but I still have the "Create Task" button below the email I am viewing, from an earlier version that I used to use?

Looking forward to getting this one working as it is exactly what I have been looking for!

I have the same problem. Attaching an email simply does not work.
This is my error code, which probably is the same as with the others.
It occurs to me, looking at the dates, that this is not considered to be a major problem? As a subscriber I hold a different view.

Thanks for the reports, and sorry for the trouble.

It looks like a small set of people are experiencing errors when trying to create tasks from emails using the new extension.  It looks like this may be caused by authentication problems for specific accounts.  The error codes in these emails are unique and should help in tracking down the problem for specific users.  I'm investigating the issues and will post back when I discover the causes and have a resolution.

I have pushed out a new version of the GQueues for Gmail Chrome Extension this evening which will hopefully fix the issues a small set of people have experienced.  The extension should auto-update in your browser, but you can verify you have it by going to this web address in chrome.

2. You should have GQueues for Gmail 1.0.1  (if not, it should appear within a day).

3. Logout of Gmail and login again and that will ensure the new version of the extension is loaded in Gmail.

4. Click "Create Task" and then the gear button to open Settings.

5. There is a new button called "Reauthorize Gmail Access".   Click this button and "grant access" on the popup window to ensure your GQueues account has a good connection to Gmail.

6. Click Done and try creating a task again.

Hopefully you can create tasks from emails without the errors now.

I have done all this, but do not see a "reauthorize" button anywhere, and also it's kind of inconsistant -- sometimes it's creating the task, and sometimes it's sending an error message.

As reported earlier, I also followed your process and did find the Reauthorize button and it all seemed to go well. But inconsistent results......sometimes works, sometimes just the same old error message with a very long code.

I have a feeling the 1st message often works to attach emails, but subsequent messages in the same thread do not. Also, tonight I had an email message with one file attachment. GQueues created a task with an email attachment that had (no subject) and would only open to a black translucent screen, and two copies of the same file attachment rather than one, both of which opened on click.

So a few issues.

By the way, I still have the original extension installed that provides a URL link back to the email message...I presume that's not a problem?

Hi Leslie -

If you do not see the "Reauthorize Gmail Access" button in the extension settings, then this means you do not have the newest version of the extension.

To get the latest version:

1. Go to  chrome://extensions/  in your browser.

2. Click "Developer mode" and then click the button "Update extensions now"

3. After updating, when you scroll down the list you should see GQueues for Gmail 1.0.2 now.

4. Logout of Gmail and login again

5. Click on the Create Task button and click the gear button

6. Do you see the Disconnect button?  The Reauthorize button should appear right next to it now.  Do you see it now?

7. Click it to reconnect to your account.

Now hopefully the task creation will work better for you.

I have just got 1.02 up and running, but I am still having the issues.
I initially tried attaching an email without attachments and it worked.
Then I tried attaching an email with attachments and got the error email.

An entry was added to gQueues but without link to email and attachments.

Attached an email with embedded graphic which has worked fine! Worked ok when scheduling a time to action it.

So for me it seems to be the attachments that are causing the issue

I find the same, all the same.  I also noticed that the advice is wrong in the instructions pages.  It is only when I got to this area that I realized this is not a problem with my approach but with the vendor.

Hello Cameron,

I've gone through multiple cycles of disconnect and reauthorize in trying to get this to work. The attach to email function works about half the time; the link to email works fine. I'm using extension version 1.02. This is a valuable new feature for me as it helps a lot with shared lists where the sharer can't use the link approach to access the contents of the email, so I hope you work out the bugs soon.

Sorry for the trouble, folks.  I discovered a bug with the GQueues for Gmail extension that affected people who have turned "Conversations" OFF in Gmail Settings.  This is most likely why some of you were getting an error when trying to create a task out of an email.  I have pushed out a fix and you should be able to create tasks from emails using the extension now without error.

If you still run into problems let me know - it's possible there were multiple issues.
