Gqueues,

I am a fairly new user and have thoroughly enjoyed the new iphone app.  I have limited project management skills but what has always been helpful for me is using a Gantt chart to see the "big picture" of whatever project I'm working on.  I was recently talking with a friend of mine that is somewhat technologically savvy and he seemed to think that an integrated Gantt chart view in Gqueues would not be difficult to facilitate with the current software.  I think this would be a great addition, let me know what you think.

Also, a one thing about the iphone app (I am using iphone 3gs)
  • After creating a task, if I accidentally press on the task text rather than edit task first, then press the edit task, it freezes the app.  I have to uninstall/re-install for it to work.
That is everything for now.  Thanks.

Thanks for the suggestion about Gantt charts, David.  I'll consider it for future enhancements to the product.

I'll investigate the freezing issue when editing on the iPhone 3GS, thanks for the report. It may be related to specific task data - or does it happen with any task?  To avoid having to uninstall/reinstall, you can probably just "hard quit" the app instead to get things working again.

To hard quit, double-tap the physical home button on the phone to bring up the tray of open apps.  Long press on GQueues and tap the red close button that appears.

Cameron,

Thank you for the quick reply, sorry for my delayed response.  Yes, Gantt chart would be very cool especially for keeping all parts of projects within the software.

It seemed to happen with whatever task I created but I only let it happen a few times before I went automatically to "edit task" rather than tapping on the task.  I tried the hard quit but it didn't list gqueues on the open app list.  Not sure.

Thanks.

I would also be very interested in Gantt chart integration.  Please let us know if this is in progress or at least on the roadmap.

Thanks.

Hi John - Sorry, a Gantt chart feature has not been scheduled for development at this point.  -Cameron

Hi Cameron,

Is there any change in this status. I'd be very interested in a Gantt display in Gqueues.

Thanks

I would love to know as well. While I am sure it is a mountain to tackle, it would be a HUGE feature for the intended user base!

I agree - this would be a terrific addition to a brilliant product, if we could get this into the development schedule please.

Regards,
