Date changes in collaboratively shared queues are not automatically synced to Google Calendar

This is the situation:
A friend has shared a queue with me in collaborative mode.
My friend has integrated this queue with his Google Calendar.
His Google Calendar's GQueue again is shared with my personal Google
Calendar.

This is what I do:
I change a date of an item in my friends queue that is shared in
collaboration.

This is what happens:
The date (change) of my friends item is not synced to my friends
Google Calender (and thus also not to my Google Calendar).
Only when my friend logs into his GQueue-account himself then the sync
to Google Calendar is performed.

This is what I expect:
The date change I make in a collaborative shared queue is accepted and
synced to my friends Google Calendar without needing him to log into
his GQueue-account.

Can this be resolved?

Kind regards,
Wim Schepers

Hi Wim,

I have made the changes you suggested.   So now when a collaborator makes changes to a shared queue they are immediately synced with the owner's calendar without the owner having to be in GQueues or have the shared queue open.  Thanks for the suggestion, I think this is a very good improvement!

Hello Cameron,

Thank you for the resolution. It works very good!!! This is good
functionality!

There is just one issue left: the entries in Google Calendar are one
hour too late.
I have checked the time zone settings of the concerning GQueue and
Google Calendar accounts, they are all the same (GMT+01:00 Amsterdam).

Would be nice if this works correctly...

Kind regards,
Wim Schepers

Wim,

For each GQueues/Google Account you have there are three places the timezone has to be set.  GQueues Settings, GQueues calendar settings in Google Calendar, and regular Google Calendar Settings.  See here for screenshots and more details:  http://www.gqueues.com/help/calendarIntegration#timezones

Are you sure they are set the same in all three places?  Usually setting the last one seems to clear up this problem for people.  If they are all the same and times are still off, try deactivating integration and then reactivating.  If still no luck let me know and I'll see if there is some bug on this side.

Hello Cameron,

Thank you for the help.
Indeed in one of my GQueue Calendars the timezone was not correctly
set.
Now it works fine!
I was only aware of the GQueue and the general Google Calendar
timezone settings.

It is a good point to describe this issue in the documentation/help
though.

Bye, Wim
