One of my biggest frustrations with GQueues is having to manually change the date on every task that is in my Overdue smartlist so that it moves over to the Today list.
Is there anyway to do this in bulk? This was one feature I used to love about ToDoist.
Thanks,
Steve

In your saved search, just use code that looks like this:

dueDate<=[+0 days]

the "<="will catch both due today and all previous days

I would also really like this.  Sure a smart queue can find overdue tasks as well as today's tasks.  But that doesn't help with the calendar view.  I am very visual and when I look at my calendar for the day, it is very helpful to see scheduled tasks.  I would really like a setting that ALL of my scheduled tasks should move to the current day if they are past-due and not marked complete.  Hopefully this would happen automatically at midnight every night and not require me to do anything manually.

It is also sometimes nice to be able to go back in the calendar and see _when_ I completed a task.  I it was due on the 1st, but now is marked complete on the 10th, then I can quickly see that I was not on time with that task.

Thanks

Dave

I'd love to have this feature as well. Is the gqueues team working on it?

Hi Beth -

We do have plans to build "bulk actions" functionality which should make it easier to change the dates of many tasks all at once.

+1. An option in the task must allow to change or keep the recursion pattern, as when you change the date of a reapeting event in Google Calendar. It asks if the change applies to the next ones only for the current one.

I would like to have the option to create Google calendar Reminders as well as Events.  That way I could choose whether I want the task to roll over to the next day or not.

Please, please.  This is my biggest request for GQueues.
I want incomplete tasks to automatically move to today when they are past due.

Thanks

Dave

This is what I do as well. I like how David Allen says it - the Calendar is -sacred-. Meaning, you don't put things on there unless they absolutely HAVE to get done on that day. For instance, a bill that must be paid or a meeting commitment that must be held, etc...

But, what if you have a task that is urgent that must be done ASAP but not necessarily on a specific day? Well... tag it "ASAP" and make your search query "dueDate<=[+0 days] OR tag:ASAP"

This way, the smart queue will contain due today, past due and items you have determined are somewhat urgent in nature, though they don't have a specific due date.

I think it would be a fine thing to implement on Google Calendar where you have a similar deal (overdue tasks "moved over" to current day), but I think it should be optional so users would be able to choose whether they want a task to move on their calendar or stay where they put it.

However, to put things in perspective, Gqueues itself already provides this functionality and there are so many other worthy features which have no implementation whatsoever...

Yes,  and adjust the subtasks along with it. Life happens! We don't always get things done the way we plan them!
