There should be a way to see all items at the same time, instead of
having to click an an individual queue to see that queue's items. The
inability to do this is one of the big weaknesses of Google Tasks, as
well.

I agree! This is the first time I am looking at GQueus, and it appears
to offer a great deal more that Google tasks, but this a must have
here. Also, an "undo delete" function is needed as well. In addition,
if you "x" out of GQueuss on Google Calendar, there appears no way to
get it back unless you go back to settings in GQueues (sometimes I
like all the real estate for my calendar).

Thanks for listening.

It appears this does actually exist, I just hadn't found it yet. Just
click on "All Items" under the Smart Queues.

Thank you, I see it now. What a great feature for a great application.

Regarding, using the "X" button to close the gadget in Google Calendar:

Yes, this actually removes the gadget from the calendar and the only way to get it back is to follow the link in GQueues Settings.  This is how Google choose to implement gadgets in Calendar.

However, if you just want to hide the gadget temporarily, in Google Calendar hover your mouse in the line of space between where the calendar ends and the gadget begins.  A thin blue bar will appear with an arrow on it.  If you click while the bar is visible it will expand the calendar to it's normal width and hide the gadget.  Clicking the bar again brings back the gadget.  Yes, I know this feature is not very obvious.

Cameron,

Thanks not only for the unbelievably quick response, but a more than
helpful one as well. It does what I need it to do, and perfectly!

I had the same problem with 2 Google labs (Jump To Date and Year
View) , and your suggestion solves all 3 issues. I had posted feed
back to the Google Team looking for this answer, as well as to the
Google Calendar groups post, but no one mentioned this. Thanks.

I just wandered upon this application today, and it may be the Task
Manager I have been looking for for a number of years. I thought
Google Tasks was going to be it, but it's not. It's way too basic, and
a number of us have been asking for changes/additions for a long time,
and they are very slow to react. Your application seems to have most
of what I have been looking for (I did ask about a few things in a
separate post).

Again, thank you for this application, and I hope to dive in head
first very soon.

You need to find a way to get this info to more Google users, as I'm
sure it will be a welcomed addition to a great deal of users (I did
post you info in 2 other Google Groups, FYI).

Rick,

Glad things are working for you now!

And yes, letting people know about GQueues has been my biggest challenge.  Getting any of the major blogs to write about has been nearly impossible because I'm not Google or Apple or some startup that just received loads of VC money.  So for now I'm relying on grassroots word of mouth marketing.  Thanks for the posts in other groups and if you find GQueues useful please do continue to spread the word.

Thanks,
Cameron

Cameron,

Thanks for all your help. Below is some feedback from the Google Task
Group:

Rick

Hi bflors, I just discovered it and have been trying to set it up the
way I like it. Here are my impressions after messing around with it
for an hour:

Good stuff:
collapsible list of task list names (called Queues) on left
drag and drop capabilities
view all capabilities
reminder capabilities (e-mail, text or popup)
tasklist sharing (viewing or collaboration)
items disappear once checked off (can be viewed by going to the
Completed tab)
can duplicate or set up recurring tasks

Bad stuff:
no nesting/hierarchy, unless you count the queues themselves as a
hierarchy
not as well integrated into the Google Calendar (because it's not an
official Google product)
no importing feature (from Google Tasks, RTM, Outlook, etc.)
online only
no Android app
rather annoying colors
View All is not color-coded the way the queues are and doesn't tell
you which queue an item is in
not actually from Google, even though it looks like it
