Hi Cameron,
GQueues pretty much runs my whole life, and I've got it set up so that many of my smart queues are limited to things assigned to me. Thus I need to assign many tasks to myself.

I find it annoying that I get a notification every time I assign a task to myself. I still want to receive notifications when other people assign tasks to me though, so I can't disable the notifications.

Is there, or could there be a way to disable notifications when I assign a task to myself?

Hi Nev,

have you considered setting up filters based on specific language in the body? I don't recall specifically, but I think there might be language saying that you, or your email, assigned you a task... This might be the grounds for creating a filter that would just trash those notifications, or skip the inbox.

Thanks for the suggestion. I have tried setting that up. I found the way the emails were set up made it tough to do that, though I'm sure I could if I spent more time on it. That still doesn't stop my notifications feed within GQueues, from filling up with notifications though.

i'll filter the emails if I need to, but it seems like a simple check from within gqueues would save a huge number of needless emails and notifications.

Hi Nev -

Thanks for the feedback.  Yes, it makes sense to not send notifications when you assign tasks to yourself.  I've put it on the list to implement.
