No sound gqrx and with RTL2832U & R820T2 USB STick

Hi, when I start gqrx on Ubuntu 20.04 Notebook and USB Stick RTL2832U & R820T2 always looks good, I get an Waterfall and e.g. 94 MHz a more than less low signal. But unfortunately no sound. Can someone help me with the solution? Is there an hidden switch into gqrx?

A good place to start might be to install the Pulse Audio Volume Control (pavucontrol) and see if any audio is coming from gqrx. Sound problems with laptops are not always easy or logical to solve.

Hi Ian, since a feww minutes before you write the mail I got a sound. The reason is I switch the gqrx Mode to WFM Mono and now it works.Nevertheless I want to install Pulse Audio Volume Control.

Many thanks for your help. I was already on despair, some days ago I made some tests with raspberry Pi as Server with the USB stick and Ubuntu Notebook as gqrx client and it worked right the first time.

Today I did the same without Raspberry, only Ubuntu Notbook and gqrx but I deleted my old settings.

Thanks Ian, interesting video. I installed Pulse control and I will make some tests and experience. A other topic is my antenna (not the best) but this a other story.

Had a similar problem I turned it on, then adjusted the gain and squelch...
