Hi,
Being fairly new to SDR, can GQRX be configured to take audio level I & Q signals into a Raspberry Pi??  Has anyone done that?  I have a working quadrature receiver that has a Si5351 controlled by a separate (PIC) processor.  It has I & Q outputs.
Thanks,
Jim  W0CHL

Hi Jim,

It cannot. Try using quisk but don't forget that the RPi does not have an audio input so you would need to used a separate USB sound interface.

Well.

As GQRX works just fine with common RTL & FunCube Dongles and similar, also common SoftRock RX's etc, I'd say, "Yes it can use direct I/Q input" as that's what they all spit out for processing.

(It can even read a file of I/Q data, if needed.)

But, as Simon pointed out, you WILL (sorry) need an external USB Sound input device that supports full stereo input to take the I/Q feed from whatever front end / down-convertion device you have or plan to use.   As all the Pi's if anything, only support sound Output as standard.

That's the easy thing, the fun starts when setting it up to use such devices, it's not difficult, but read the documentation first!
