I have done a fresh install of gqrx to be used with my AirspyHF+ that just came.  This is on Ubuntu 20.04.  The device is not listed as of June 12, 2021.  How can I include it in the device list?

You should be able to install it -

cd SoapyAirspyHF
mkdir build
cd build
cmake ..
make
sudo make install

Following the steps got me this response:

make: *** No targets specified and no makefile found.  Stop.

So, no install that way.

I can see that starting gqrx from the command line shows airspyhf is included.  I just don't understand how to choose it since it is not on the device list.

The step that made the difference was that I plugged the usb directly into the computer.  I had used a usb extender and saw the device at times and then did not.  I suppose some kind of timing thing.  By plugging directly in, gqrx saw the airspy and so far seems reliable.  Fingers crossed
