Have added repository, updatet and installed as show below.
sudo add-apt-repository ppa:gqrx/snapshots
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install gqrx gnuradio
When trying to run gqrx even from abs path I get the following message:

/usr/bin/gqrx: error while loading shared libraries: libgnuradio-iqbalance.so: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

Im running ubuntu 13.10 32-bit kernel 3.11.0-15-generic

Need help.

It seems something got broken during the last update. I will try to
find out what, so please stand by. Unfortunately it takes many days to
build the packages and I only have little time during the weekend.

It looks like the dependency "got lost" somehow. Right now you can try
to install the libgnuradio-iqbalance package manually and see if it
resolves the issue. I will try fix it later.

I've received a similar error after the update, which started with librtlsdr install errors going from 0.5.1 to 0.5.3.  I finally got that sorted with removing some packages manually.  Previously, I compiled everything from source and had the gnuradio 3.7.2 and pre-gqrx_2.2.01.34.36f125-gqrx~precise5 playing nicely together.  So I started from scratch.

Compiled and installed from source:
boost 1.55
gnuradio-3.7.3
rtl-sdr
gr-osmosdr
gr-iqbal-0.37.1
gqrx

minus a couple warnings for unused variables, everything went together and gqrx ran with this terminal output:

When I enabled the DSP power button on the gqrx main window, it runs for about 1 second with the spectrum and waterfall going before giving me:

I know everything works because I was able to recompile gr-fosphor and run that within GRC (another fun little distraction for throwing a $200 GPU at a $20 tuner):

Any thoughts?

Hi Roger,

I think this is a completely different issue. The original post is
about a simple packaging error for the Ubuntu packages, but you report
an actual error for source builds - or am I misunderstanding you?

Anyway, I think your issue is the same as this one:
https://github.com/csete/gqrx/issues/162

It was closed because the resolution was to upgrade libusb.

Alex,

I'm sorry, you're right this is a separate issue.

I did go through issue #162 and it appears I had the same problem.  I was running Ubuntu 12.04.4 LTS 64-bit with a 3.5 kernel and the default Canonical libusb package was 1.0.9~rc3-2ubuntu1 from precise/main.  I went to libusb.info and downloaded the 1.0.18 source from Sourceforge, recompiled everything and GQRX is working fine now.  Still have the "Could not resolve property : pattern10600" in the terminal window, but doesn't appear to affect operation.

Thanks,
Roger

This message comes from the SVG interpreter - apparently it doesn't
like something about the icons. As long as you see the icons, it's not
a big issue, just annoying.

I have uploaded new packages tonight that fix this dependency problem
(and also fix some general bugs).
Please try it and let me know how it works.
