gqrx has really simplified my first try at SDR: THANK YOU to everyone of you involved in this project.
I noticed that the RTL-SDR dongle that I have (which uses the Fitipower FC0012 tuner) does not run at all on version gqrx 2.11.5: i only get static output.
$ /Volumes/gqrx-2.11.5/Gqrx.app/Contents/MacOS/rtl_test
Found 1 device(s):
0: Realtek, RTL2838UHIDIR, SN: 00000001
Using device 0: Generic RTL2832U OEM
No supported tuner found
Enabled direct sampling mode, input 1
Supported gain values (1): 0.0
However, when using gqrx 2.5, I am able to tune in to radio stations as expected
$ /Volumes/gqrx-2.5-1/Gqrx.app/Contents/MacOS/rtl_test
Found 1 device(s):
0: Realtek, RTL2838UHIDIR, SN: 00000001
Using device 0: Generic RTL2832U OEM
Found Fitipower FC0012 tuner
Supported gain values (5): -9.9 -4.0 7.1 17.9 19.2
This leads me to believe that gqrx 2.11.5 dropped support for the FC0012?
So my questions are:
1. What do I need to do to add support for the FC0012 back into gqrx 2.11.5, at-least for my local build?
2. What do I need to do to get the rtl_433 tool into the set of the tools available with gqrx 2.11.5? I purchased the RTL SDR dongle to help me replicate my light and outlet switches and I believe the rtl_433 tool will be very valuable
