rspdx-r2 and gqrx

My rspdx-r2 arrived earlier today and it works well with sdrconnect as
expected. I had already installed sdrconnect and latest sdrplay API the
day I placed to order.

Now I'd like to usr my rspdx-r2 with gqrx and sdrangel but the receiver
is not detected. From my research it seems that I need to install the
soapy sdrplay plugin. The problem is that there are any versions and I
do not want to mess up what already works.

Can someone point me in the direction of the correct version and do I
need the blacklist the mirisdr driver?

I'm using Xubuntu 24.04.

I got things going with my SDRPlay v1 a while ago after viewing this.

So long as you have the correct/latest SDRPlay API already installed,
the script referenced above will build SoapySDR against it, and install
the resulting newly built version of SoapySDR where GQRX can find it.

NOTE!!!   You may need to REMOVE the existing install of SoapySDR before
doing the above.

Note too, that the script referenced above also builds and install's a
copy of CubicSDR.  But, I found that it was bricked from the outset, so
removed that.

Maybe that has changed since then.

I need to redo all the above myself, having recently upgraded my OS, and
now have an utterly broken GQRX etc.

View the Youtube video first, and then look at the blog pages.

No affiliation to any of the above sites/pages, but the info in them
worked well for me in the not too distant past, to get things working on
LMDE5.  As above, I've now upgraded to LMDE6, and that broke several
things for me, not just GQRX!

Thank you Dave for your reply.

I got qgrx and sdrplay cooperating shortly after posting my question.
All I needed to do was install soapy sdr plus a few dependencies.

I haven't been able to get sdrangel or sdr++ to detect my rspdx-r2. I
like sdrangel for it's plug-ins, in particular the ADS-B plug-in. I
wonder if there's an ADS-B application that I can feed the audio to from
gqrx? I'll have a search.
