Hello,

I am new to SDR and I just purchased a NooElec R820T SDR. I have an iMac running OS X 10.8.2 (Mountain Lion). I've never compiled from source before so I was wondering if someone here could give me a guide?

Thanks,

Kent, K5KNT

Hi Kent,

Gqrx is probably not what you should try building on OS X if you have
no experience. It has many dependencies and can quickly become a
lengthy process, unless you have GNU Radio installed via e.g.
Macports. On the other hand, Elias Onal is building gqrx for Mac OS X
every now and then and I recommend you try his bundle, which also
includes various rtlsdr utilities:

I have installed the port below and I now have Gqrx running on my iMac. Only issue is that Gqrx crashes when closing. I have posted the issued on Elias' blog, but I thought I would post here also. I can provide a crash report if requested.
