I am using Gqrx 2.11.5 because it works with OS 10.13.6.

Is it possible to use Gqrx as a data logger of the signal strength of a signal?  For example, if one were to log signal strength of say, a beacon, over time, and save it to a file so it can be made it available for analysis in another software package, it would be possible to discover patterns of propagation, solar activity, noise, and other phenomena.

Hello.
Yes. It is possible. You may query the signal strength over a remote interface and log it to a text file/database.
Or you may patch gqrx to implement continous waterfall logging to PNG/JPEG files.

This collection of remote commands looks very promising  Is there a complete program somewhere that shows how to implement a session remotely using  these in C++ (preferably for C++ for Mac)?
