I love the Remote Control(Telnet) Interface.

I used the information in the "Controlling gqrx from a Remote Host" blog post and the gqrx-scan code from Khaytsus to build a "lite/crude" scanner with about 35 lines of perl code. No bells and whistles. Just scans a given frequency range and pauses when the squelch value is exceeded. I plan to wrap this code in a wxPerl GUI interface.

I found that Net::Telnet is not in the perl core but is easily installed from cpan.
