Hi,
I would like to run
gqrx (2.2.0.74.d97bd7-2)
on my
laptop : dell latitude 6200
with my distribution
linux: ubuntu 14.04

The problem seems link to the missing
mount /dev/ttyUSB0

Do you know, how should I proceed to run properly gqrx?
Thanks in advance
laurent
ps: output text in the following
and 2 screen captures get after running gqrx

Hi Laurent,

The subject of your mail says Ubuntu 15.10, so which version are you running?

According to the screenshot, you have selected RFSPACE SDR-IQ as input
device, so gqrx will naturally look for this radio connected to a USB
port.

You should select whatever device "SDR-DXPATROL" corresponds to - what
is it? Is it an rtlsdr device?

I would also like to remark that gqrx 2.2 is very old and has many
bugs that have been fixed since then.

http://www.rtl-sdr.com/roundup-software-defined-radios/
http://www.ct1ffu.com/site/?option=com_content&view=article&id=178&Itemid=104

Hi Laurent,

According to this page:
http://packages.ubuntu.com/wily/gqrx-sdr

you should be able to get gqrx 2.3.1 on Ubuntu 15.10, no?

Yes, you get the same wrong behaviour because you are using the wrong
device. RFSPACE SDR-IQ is a completely different radio:
http://www.rfspace.com/RFSPACE/SDR-IQ.html

For rtlsdr you have to select a device with RTL2832U in the name. Or
something similar.

So try that. If it's not working try running it from the command line
and see what error messages you get. You may have to disable the TV
driver in the kernel.

Try to raise the gain settings (they are in "input controls" tab).
You have set lnb_lo to 10 mhz. You'll need to set lnb_lo to -40mhz when using the hf band up-converter of the dx-patrol (I think there is a switch to select the band), otherwise leave it to 0.
Good luck.
