Hi,

I have been doing my simulations in 1-D, and never had any convergence issues. However when I convert the problems into 2D I'm getting convergence issues. I have tried the latest version  (0.8200 ), older versions (0.8171,  0.8186). Still I get the same issue. I have attached the error message and the input files. I would be grateful if you can help out to resolve the issue.

Regards,
Jayani

Dear Jayani,

I think I have encountered the same convergence problem before and I have reported my solution here https://groups.google.com/g/gpyro-working-group/c/jWnW3AfkOI0
I am also trying to help with your case but I find I cannot produce a runnable .data file from your excel input file( Duff2D.data is not runnable). Could you please upload the excel input file that you used. It would be far more efficient for me to help by starting from your excel input file.

Best regards,

Han

Dear Han,

Thank you very much for looking into this and offering for help out. I have tried the tolerance adjustment, but still I cannot get the case converged. I have attached the excel file herewith. Please look into this when you have sometime. Thank you.

Jayani

Dear Jayani,

I have tried to adjust some parameters to help solve the problem and got a case that has been running ok so far even though a bit slow. As your case is a bit complex which has 0.1m*0.1m dimension and 15 reactions, it might have convergence issues. Sorry for my late reply, I just found my answer was not uploaded successfully which was meant to upload 3 weeks ago.

Many thanks!

Thank you very much Han. I really appreciate your help that sorted out my issue. Yes it is slow, I will run a simulation for a longer time with these settings and see how it goes. Thanks again.

Regards,
Jayani

Hi Han,

I have a question with regard to CC_YJSUM = 0.001, command. If I include it I get the error of  ''Error: Problem with namelist group &GPYRO_GENERAL.''. Is this something you added and recomplied? or under what version of Gpyro does this command work? Please let me know. Thank you.

Hi Han,

Looks like your executable is in windows. Since I work in linux, It will be great if you could share the source files that you edited so that I can create a linux executable. Sorry for the trouble. Thank you very much.

Jayani
