Hi all,

I'm doing my studies in 1-D domain, and I want to incorporate a heat loss term along the length. Is there any possible way of doing it without moving into 2-D? It would be great if you have any suggestions. Thank you.

Regards,

Yes, indeed. You can use the volumetric heat transfer coefficient to account for losses in any direction that is not along the length of a 1D model. Han at Hazelab has used this recently in his papers of porous coal beds.

Cheers,
G.
