Hello, I would like to test gpsVP with Googleak tile cache.
But the latest official version 0.4.14 does not contain yet this
functionality.
I would like to ask authors for a newer binary version for PC and PPC
(WM6).

Vsevolod wanted to wait until the version is enough tested before
releasing a new official version.
Meanwhile I can send the new executables of r196 to a few beta-testers
(on request).

jerome, I am moderator of Slovak www.gpsforum.sk.
There is quite wide discussion about Googleak and the possibilities to
use downloaded tiles in PDA on our forum.

We have one member balkanista with extremly large Googleak cache with
satellite images and he has really big wish to use a program with GPS,
which can directly access these tiles. I have big interest to test
this feature too. Can you please send me a test version? I will
suggest balkanista to ask here for a test version too.

Hello, I am here. I am concentrating very big cash of googleak cases
that I will use for offroading in Balkan countries, Turkey and may be
later in Transcaucassian countries and Iran as well.
Because for many countries of this region do not exist good detailled
maps except old Soviet military - good but outdated from mapping in 80-
ties, I have no other option like satellite images.
I have cache well over 100GB, Try export them in full coverage to Ozi
will be far over 5TB (and over year computer time for this work) -
impossible. Ok, I can work with actual region but some sotware showing
me just position in satellite images will remove some pain from my ass
for sure.
I do not need anything complicate, just something like moving map in
OZI, only I need option to choose google earth zoom level and load
waypoints and may be create few for route upload in something like
Gekko.
I need workwith it both in notebook and PDA. If you can send to me
test version it will be much appretated. Thanks in advance.
Balkanista.
