Lenovo Z6 Youth dual frequency gps.

Hi everyone,

I have not seen any sign of dual frequency on the Lenovo Z6 Youth, and just received this answer about it. I don't know what to do. Just wait for software updates?

However, screenshots from the Z6 Youth Edition (with 11.0.049 ST Android 9) tell a different story — no L5 or E5a satellites are visible!

 

But if you look close, multiple records for some satellite IDs are shown — I’m guessing it’s a bug, and one of the pair are L5/E5a. Hopefully Lenovo fixes this soon! "

Hi Martin S,

when you send the email at lenovo help desk, did you also include the print-screen of GPSTest ? Did you mark with a red arrow the double id's of satellites numbers ?
Did you explain to the them, what exactly should change (the bug) ?

Probably those employs does not have the suitable experience to know about the GNSS navigation looks like.

send to them, one collage of 2 print-screens, one from lenovo bug and one from another dual band device (works ok), point with red arrows and explain to them what is going on.

Hi,

I sent several screenshots but I did not comment on the double id #s. But I said it's only showing L1, E1, B1C, & no L5, E5a, nor B3. But it's pretty apperent it's mislabelling the satellites. Also, what is strange is that it shows the same altitude for ellipsoid and MSL. When the horizontal position error said 3.1 feet (vertical always says 0.0), the altitude seemed to vary only 30 feet, which is better than what I've seen before.

Ok. I sent an example screenshot of working P30 Pro, & I also described the double digit IDs on my Lenovo and that one of them should say L5 & E5a. I didn't put an arrow; I don't know how to do that on the phone right now here, but I think it's easy for them to see.

Hi Martin,

those things, you can't do it into the smartphone. If you want into the future to do something as i did into the screenshot i have here, transfer the image into PC and use the irfanview software, it's for free. Into the main window press F11 on the keyboard, and you will find all the tools for this on the right window it will appear on the monitor. After 20 minutes, you will have found everything. It is very easy.

thanks for your information. I hope soon we will see more new devices (choices) for the customers who like to have the best results for navigation purposes. And of course, not only for China market.

looking your screenshot, i can see the app locus maps running, to support your outdoor activities. Into this example, do you have recording your track into .gpx file ?
