Hi Team,

we rooted our Xiaomi Mi-8 to Android 9 pie lineage.

After that we have:

  1. no camera anymore )-:
  2. no Galileo-Sta anymore )))-:
Any suggestions?

Good news:
  1. 2-freq are shown in GPSTest - see img.
  2. Dury-Cycle is set off via "Force full GNSS measurements" option.

See attached screenshot.

Best from Berlin,
Roy

PS: Before the update (Android Oreo) Galileo worked fine...

Not only Galileo, but also Beidou sat. is missing.

I will suggest to you the follow test. Start moving fast, running - bicycle - car and after 30-60 seconds wait to see the results into the screen of your device using GPSTest app.

Roy,
Interesting! I'm guessing that when rooting and installing Lineage, in the process you ended up installing the filter that prevents us from using Galileo and Beidou in the U.S. - see this article for more info:

Are you using drivers or low-level files from another device in the root and install?

I'm curious about the exact process you used, as it may indicate that a reverse process is possible (removing the filter).

Hi Roy,

did the situation improve menawhile?
Does the camera and galileo work for you on lineage 16?

Cheers
