On my Moto X4 (Snapdragon 630 chipset) under "Developer Options => Debugging" there's a setting called "Force full GNSS measurements - Track all GNSS constellations and frequencies with no duty cycling".

I'm assuming the effectiveness or support of this setting is dependent on the underlying GNSS chipset in your device.  Any way to test this option to see if it truly has an effect on the way our chipset operates?

I notice no difference in performance, and no differences in the GPSTest app.  I was thinking maybe I'd see the difference if I collected RINEX data, but haven't attempted yet.  Thoughts?

Nathan,
The way this setting is worded is a bit deceptive. It only disables duty cycling to allow carrier phase measurements from raw GNSS data, but to my knowledge has no impact on which satellites are being used. You won't see any difference in GPSTest because raw measurements aren't used in the app. I do believe that this setting is required to be implemented by OEMs.

This Google I/O session discusses it in detail:
