GPS essentials in Offline mode -
Inbuilt sensors in any android phones are not strong enough to catch weak signals.
Is there any provision to connect any External GPS sensors via Bluetooth or USB and can be synced with GPS Essential app.
Wanted to replace Garmin eTrex with Android phones.

There are many external GPS Receivers that you can connect to your smartphone or tablet. Just look for GPS Receivers that can connect via bluetooth and that can send NMEA data. The devices usually state that they are compatible with Android. E.g. this company sells them: http://gps.dualav.com (Check reviews of their products on Amazon, some older receivers they sell seem to have issues...)
The third part of the equation is an additional app (e.g. this one: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=googoo.android.btgps) that reads the bluetooth NMEA data stream and feeds it into the system. To GPS Essentials (and all other apps), your external GPS receiver will look like it's an internal one so it will just work.
