Hello all. I am not able to export my waypoint stream as a .gpx file via my email. Gmail give me a message that it can't attach the file and my other email sends the message but no file attached. Any help out there?
Thanks,
Kat

Hi Katherine, I vaguely
remember a similar problem but not the details. Is it possible that
you are exporting the .gpx file to a location that Gmail/email cannot access?
When I go through the export process, I see the folder/file name
just above the list of 'share' applications. In my case, it shows
"/storage/emulated/0/Track-...". Tapping the arrow to the
right shows a message that the export was successful.
If you go into
Settings / Miscellaneous / Storage Location, was GPS Essentials installed
to Internal Storage or External (App) Storage? The path to the GPS
Essentials databases is shown below each of the options. If GPS Essentials
is trying to export tracks to /data/user/0/com.mictale.gpsessentials/...,
that would explain why Gmail cannot access the file (this location is restricted
to GPS Essentials).
I was able to
edit the path where the track will be exported (selected a different folder)
- GPS Essentials remembered the edit.
Regards, Norbert

Thanks Norbert, good thought. I will investigate this and see if it leads to success. Cheers! Kat
