GPS Essentials downloads successfully but will not run

App downloads successfully from Google Play but :displays the error message "Unfortunately - GPS Essentials has stopped" immediately when I try to run it.

Google Navigation runs so satellites should be o.k.
Tryng to run on new Bauhn 42147

App runs on my HTC Desire and tablets Vi_Micro and Nexus7

Any suggestions about cause and recovery please?

Would you please install "Log Collector" from Google Play and send me the log file? (attached to an email, don't post it here). I guess the device is missing some resources that GPS Essentials requires.

Thanks for your reply Michael.
I have downloaded MX Log Collector and COL Log Collector. 23:000 here so will try them tomorrow.
The tablet has no external SD card. Perhaps it is required. I will check that too.

Hi Michael,
I recently downloaded GPS Essentials onto the same Bauhn tablet and have the same problem. Were you able to fix it and if so what do I need to do to make it run.

I have the mail but the log is empty. Might be SendLog is not working properly, try this one:

Hi Michael,
Apparently the security on Android 4.1.2 (Jellybean?) which is on my tablet has been tightened and log collectors won't work the same anymore. I just checked your link and the Android
versions compatible for this log app are from 1.5 to 4.0.3. Could this also be the problem with GPS Essentials?

Most probably you downloaded the GPS Essentials Donations Plugin. This is an addon to GPS Essentials and will not show up separately.
Please install GPS Essentials on top, e.g. from here: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.mictale.gpsessentials
