Any of you interested in going with me to attend a gathering for
love146? (Monday 7pm only)
Lately, I've gotten involved in a ministry that seeks justice for
modern-day slavery -- also known as human trafficking.
In other third world countries, often young girls are taken away due
to debt and sold into sex slavery and life of prostitution. In the US,
girls often with low self-esteem and problems at home are persuaded to
begin such a lifestyle with promise of ultimate happiness. They are
beaten, abused, hurt, and ultimately have little hope (if any left at
all) for their futures. They're all in need of Jesus, and we need to
stand for their justice. Love 146 ministries is seeking to help those
that have been hurt by such things and to prevent them from happening.
(Go check out <http://love146.org/slavery> to find out more about this ministry)
If enough of you guys are interested, perhaps we can even for a
love146 coalition amongst ourselves! ~ but for now, I'm interested in
simply attending this awareness-gathering for the following two
reasons:
1. To check out what love146 ministry is doing to raise awareness of
this issue (and hopefully go with some of you guys, so you can be
aware of it as well)
2. To visit the college campus to see how things are at this school.
I've only walked the exterior perimeters of this school, and never got
to walk around. I think it'll be fun.
I plan on attending Monday 7pm only due to my time commitments.
I'm actually looking forward to attend this with those that are in
college and up. . . namely Jae Sook, Jason, Sheene, Paul, David,
Irene, and Yuri -- and anyone else if you guys are around and can make
the time.
I think it'll be fun! If we can coordinate well, maybe we can travel
in one or two cars, and maybe even catch up afterwards with dinner.
So, let me know if you guys can make 7pm on Monday. Please try to make
it, all of you those I've listed, we need to catch up anyway!
Stay strong!

Dear Friends,
It was good to spend the afternoon with everyone.
I wanted to share a ministry opportunity at Fairleigh Dickinson
University next week, which is also the topic of my Good Friday
Message.
FDU campus ministry is hosting Mar. 29-31 events to raise awareness
about current-day slavery and human trafficking as issues of violence
against women and children.
Freedom and justice for the victims is a mission of Love146
(www.love146.org) an organization which
has provided resources for these events and will also be at the
Metropolitan Campus Mar. 31 (see below).
Here is the schedule:
------------------------------------------
------------------------------------------
Mon. Mar. 29 _ 7:00 p.m. "End Slavery Now" (45 minute movie +
discussion at SUB-Knight Club)
Tue. Mar. 30 _ 1:00 p.m. "Walkathon" starting at the SUB Student Union Bldg.
Wed. Mar. 31 _ 7:00 p.m. "Love 146 President, Robert Morris speaking
on campus" (Dickinson Hall. Wilson Auditorium)
------------------------------------------
------------------------------------------
Shalom,
Jim

With my wife going through pregnancy pains, I decided that it may not
be worth going if many of you can't come. I thought it'd be a good
time to hear something good together, and also catch up.
One thing -- I encourage you to keep your eyes open to these
ministries . . . they exist because the world is becoming more and
more cruel to each of us and our peers -- whether in our generation or
the next. There are many people less fortunate than us -- more broken
than us -- heck, people with no hope in their lives because their
lives have been ruined . . . not as a choice of their own.
Anyway, I hope to catch up with many of you some time ~ and I hope
everyone is doing well.
Anyone up for attending either youth revival (Post-Hosanna Rally) or
EM gathering/revival this Friday?
If any of you older people (college and up) are willing to come, I'll
attend the EM gathering/revival with you. If not, I plan on attending
the Post-Hosanna Rally -- I want to support the pastors there -- the
praise team, and even the speaker are my close prayer-buddies =) --
possibly, people with whom I'll do ministry in the future.
Please let me know if you're interested. (They are both going to be
really great.)
