My classmates in the missions department at Alliance Theological
Seminary work on a missions project every year to raise funds and
intercession for a certain people group.  This school year, we have
been raising money for refugees in Sri Lanka and were planning another
week of 24/7 intercessory prayer for the nation.  However, in light of
recent events in Haiti and the continuation of suffering and injustice
all around the world, the organizers felt convicted to broaden the
scope of the prayer week to intercede on behalf of the whole world -
that God would bring hope, renewal, and revival.  Accordingly, they
also want to go beyond the ATS community to sound the call for prayer
all around the world.
Many of us have been sensing that revival for our region and the youth
is just around the corner. The prayer week happens to be happening
during the week of Hosanna.  Every great era of revival in the past
was always accompanied by acts of social justice and corresponding
missions movements.  However, none of these things can happen without
prayer.  Perhaps revival in our region will be a part of a much larger
picture of what God is doing around the world.  Please join us, along
with your ministries, in answering the call.
Call to Prayer:  Monday, Feb 15- Sunday, February 21
