GPS Trail Browser lets you view both the maps and web links contained in an internet map by providing both web browser and a map viewer tabs. In the map viewer, use the internet tool to open web pages and photographs linked to places in the web browser.
Internet maps in GPS Exchange (.gpx) format contain downloadable gps data, web links, and trail descriptions all in one document. The GPS Trail Browser lets you view both the maps and web links contained in an internet map by providing both web browser and a map viewer tabs. In the map viewer, use the internet tool to open web pages and photographs linked to places in the web browser. In the GPS Trail Browser clicking on an internet map such as JulieCreek.gpx instead of displaying a bunch of coordinates and other computer gibberish.
Once you have opened up a map in the GPS Trail Browser, you can send that map data to your GPS receiver, follow web links embedded in the map, or save the map for offline use.
In the United States you will also find the program useful for viewing the maps over terraserver-usa.com topographic maps and aerial photos.

To install GPS Trail Browser on your Windows-XP computer download and run the setup file. Please note that this program is no longer supported. SetupGPSTrailBrowser.exe (Left click on the link and Run, or Save (to disk) then run.)
