Hi,

I tried out the track recording last night and have a couple of
questions:
When I got back to the car, I stopped recording and looked at stats.
It showed Min Elevation: 400m (approx); Max Elevation: 635m; Elevation
Gain: 88m. This morning it shows the max elevation as 865m and
elevation gain of 615m. In reality, the min elevation should be 360m,
the max elevation should be around the 802m mark and the elevation
gain should be 600ish. It was the 88m elevation gain showing last
night that caught my attention as that was way off when it should have
been a lot more! I know the accuracy isn't great, but am I right in
thinking the elevation gain should be if the data has the same offset?

Also, is it possible to look at these stats whilst recording? I
couldn't figure out how to last night.

Many Thanks

Dan.

I may have placed my posting in the wrong area, but I am an end user also.

Hi,

You haven't posted your question at the wrong place.

The altitude accuracy problem is due to device limitation.
You can see the maps and stats by pressing on MyTracks from notification bar.
The recording doesn't stop when you leave the gps screen so you come back on it at anytime.

If you have any questions, please do let me know.
