Still no joy. This is what I have done and my results. Tell me what is
going wrong.
I have the latest full version of the app. I have the latest version
of MOBAC and I am using a HTC Desire.
I am in the UK, near London.
I open MOBAC and select an area. I am using OS Explorer Maps in the
map source and Mobile Trail Explorer in Atlas settings. I name and add
the selection then create the atlas. The area I have selected is in
Scotland. I install the maps to my Desire SD Card under tiles/UKOSMAP
(all done as per the youtube video and following all instructions
given so far by your good self). I then open GPS Grid Reference and it
shows a list - get coordinate from map, GPS, Compass, search address
for spatial information, and Manage Waypoints. I press GPS. I press
the bottom left icon to use offline maps. I press the location lock so
it is off. I press the Map Mode icon and select UK OS map. The screen
stays grey and no map comes up.I can see the arrow at my last location
and I try to scroll up to Scotland. I have no joy as there are no
reference points for me to align myself onto the small area I selected
for my trail.
I'm perplexed, confused and a little annoyed. Either I'm doing
something wrong (what?) or the application isn't doing what it says it
does.
All I want to do is be able to browse various maps at different scales
from the comfort of my living room, on my phone before setting off on
a trek.
Again, help!
