The Opera Mobile Store Team has great news for you.
In order to generate higher revenues from your apps in emerging markets, where users don't have credit cards or PayPal accounts, the Opera Mobile Store Team is partnering with mobile carriers to roll out a Subscription Service. Customers of participating mobile carriers will be able to pay for subscription-based access to mobile content via their phone bill, without entering credit card data, just by confirming the purchase of a subscription.
The Opera Mobile Store team intends to introduce the first Subscription Service project with a leading mobile carrier in CIS. It will target 8,000,000 data-plan users. After you accept the updated Distribution Agreement, your premium products will be included in the Subscription Service and each download of one of your premium apps will start generating additional revenue for you. No extra maintenance is required for this - the same apps that you currently have in your account will be used.
You will also have the full flexibility to enable or disable the Subscription Service for each of your products (one by one) by clicking on the "Subscription" checkbox for each of your apps via your developer account.
