Dear Mr Anu,

Thanks for the detailed quotation. However, there has been a slight change of plan, as you already know through the telephonic conversation between you and our esteemed group member, Mr Shwetank Lal.

We would now complete the entire journey (Manali to Leh and return) on motorbikes. Also, we need one more motorbike. Thus, the final requirement is five motorbikes (Royal Enfield- three of 350cc, two of 500cc) and a backup jeep/car with a driver and a mechanic (which can carry our luggage, fuel cans and one or two members of our group when tired). We would not drop the motorbikes in Leh. Also, we would not need the Traveller for return. The detailed itinerary is as follows:
June 15 evening: Bikes pickup from your company
June 16-17-18: Manali to Leh (early morning departure on June 16, to avoid Rohtang traffic)
June 19-20: Travel around Leh (maybe Pangong Lake, Tso Moriri, Nubra Valley etc)
June 21-22: Return (Leh to Manali)

As you can see, this final program is, apart from one extra motorbike, the same as our first program, for which a sum of Rs 49,800/- was quoted by you. Hence, keeping in mind one extra motorbike, kindly quote the revised amount in reply to this email. If need be, please contact Mr Shamsher Singh, DSP, Manali as well. As an advance, a sum of Rs 30,000/- is being deposited in your Punjab National Bank account no. 1713008700003723, through Mr Shwetank Lal's HSBC account no. 053324117006.

Thanks and regards,
Prashant Sharma

Dear Mr Anu,

At the outset, please allow me to thank you for a job well done and making this trip successful and memorable for us. We had high expectations from you and you surpassed those at all levels! :)

As for the final account settlement, please find the details, as per our telephonic conversation, below:

Amounts due:
Rs. 1200*5*4 = 24000 bike rental for five bikes during four days (June 16-19, 2013)
Rs. 1000*4   =  4000 mechanic for four days
Rs. 2500*4   = 10000 backup jeep for four days
Rs. 7000*5   = 35000 bike return (leaving the bikes in Leh on June 19, 2013)
TOTAL AMOUNT DUE = Rs. 73000

Amounts paid:
Rs. 30000 : advance deposit in your PNB account (internet banking)
Rs. 20000 : cash given at office
Rs. 10000 : cash given to Mr Surendra (the mechanic)
Rs. 13000 : Remaining amount deposited by Mr Shwetank Lal in your PNB account two days ago (internet banking)
TOTAL AMOUNT PAID = Rs. 73000

Once again, I'd like to sincerely thank you for your effort and help. It goes without saying that we'll be choosing your company the next time we happen to be in Manali or Leh.
