Guys could you please help me to share how to use complete gprMax features by using only matlab? I mean each and every feature, without depending on Python.

Hi Amit,

Have you developed MATLAB scripts for gprMax and you want to share them?

Best

Actually sir its the opposite. I wanted to know if I can use MATLAB to perform all the functions of gprMax.

Hi Amit,

In this case, the answer is No. There is a MATLAB script that allows you to upload HDF5 output data from gprMax to MALTAB but there is nothing else to allow you to create input files etc. in MATLAB. There are some tools under development by other researchers that might become available at some point but not by us.

Good luck

Sir is there any updates regarding GprMax2d and Gprmax3d exe files for V3?

Hi Amit,

The old version of GprMax that has two different codes for 2D and 3D is obsolete and not maintained anymore. I think you can still download it from our website but I STRONGLY RECOMMEND to use the new version.

Yes sir I am telling that is there gonna be any new codes for 2D and 3D for latest version?

Amit,

The new version can already do 2D and 3D. Please look at the detailed documentation that is available online.

Sir is there any other way to view geometry files other than using paraview?

The geometry files use the Visualisation Toolkit (VTK) format which is open-source - http://www.vtk.org We recommend using Paraview it is free and what we use.

Kind regards,

Craig

Sir could you please explain how to get the number of Ascans required for constructing a Bscan?

Hi Amit,

The number of A-scans that compose a B-scan is entirely up to you to set according to the problem you are trying to simulate. For example, you may set the number of A-scans per B-scan to give the same inline spacing (i.e. A-scan every so many metres) that you may use with your actual GPR system.

Kind regards,

Craig

Sir could you please guide me as to how to make a Bscan from gprMax? Specifically how to find the adequate number of A scans required to completely represent a B scan.

Amit,

See my previous answer on the number of A-scans to use for a B-scan. For an example of how to compile the A-scans into a B-scan with gprMax see the examples in the docs - http://docs.gprmax.com/en/latest/examples_simple_2D.html#b-scan-from-a-metal-cylinder
