I am attempting to mount a GPR on the bottom of an industrial drone. I'm wondering if anybody has recommendations for hardware that would be light enough for this purpose? Max payload is ~15 lbs.

on't know if i is allowed to have a discussion about not-gprMax.

but as far as I have heard the most lightweight GPR-Control unit the Zond-12e. It is old and slow. but lightweitgt and energy-saving

I guess you'll need an airlaunched antenna. As far as I know the subecho-units of radarteam (www.radarteam.se) are lightweightbut unfortunatelly they are not capable of good dataquality (I'm talking about utility mapping).

have much success with your intention, let me know if you'll get managed to get 350-500 MHz meassurements aircoupled or on really low heights (< 30cm) at good quality.

cheers, Micha
