I'm studying the use of a half-wave dipole as a receiving antenna to convert electromagnetic waves into electromotive force. However, it was found that the transmission line voltage in the simulation was always 1/2 of the theoretical value.
Because the theoretical calculation is the voltage Voc (-d/2 ~ d/2) in the gap between the two antenna terminals, but the simulation records the voltage of the transmission line. Are these the same concept? Or is there a 2x relationship possible?
Thank you.
