Hello!

I find the direct wave A-scan data is negative value and the waveform has two peaks. But my source is ricker, which just has only one peak. The simulation is as follows. Anyone could solve the two problems? Thank you for your reply!

One correct: the source is Gaussian, not ricker.

Dear Zoey,

What propagates from your source is the derivative of the waveform. Therefore if your source waveform is a Gaussian what propagates is the first derivative of the Gaussian which is what you are seeing. Incidentally I would question why you are using a Gaussian waveform unless your have an antenna model with a voltage source.

Kind regards,

Craig

Dear Craig,

Thanks for your answer again. I thought the Gaussian had only one peak that would be easily located. I did not consider the relationship between the waveform and antennas.

Best wishes,

Zoey
