Hello All,

Our campaign started after talking to the principal of GPREC few weeks back (around end of March 2011) wherein we understood from Principal that there was not any such appeal by GPREC online or over email (because prof’s family was not sure of such support) till then – to support the treatment through LinkedIn Alumni Portal. Emails to this effect where Principal has suggested to aggregate the funds into one account and transfer to Prof’s family for our requests are attached to this email.

Subsequently, I’ve spoken to prof’s family – himself, his son, his elder brother where they were thankful for this effort and they have consented our request of accepting the contributions from our fund raising.

It’s up to you guys now to contribute directly to Prof’s family account or GPREC account or Open Fund Raising Campaign. All roads lead to one cause – support the treatment to fill the cheers back into the family whose member has made some contributions to what most of us are today – does not matter which route you take.

Hope all are doing great!

I would request you all to take a small break in your busy schedules and read this mail.

I would want to inform all of you that our Maths professor is getting treatment for his Cancer at Vellore.

Venkateswar Reddy Melachervu (If I am not wrong, he is from 90's batch) and other Alumini members intiated an open fund raising campaign to support the treatment of Prof.Vijaya Sekhar Reddy, Mathematics, of GPREC based on the information we understood from the principal of GPREC. This campaign is running globally using this GPREC LinkedIn portal and yahoo groups of GPREC.

The final gate point for contributions – 15th April and on 16th April we shall transfer the amount to prof family.

Any help provided is greatly appreciated.

You can send the money to me or to Venkateswar directly(he is in cc). Send me a mail for account details.
