Fund Raising Campaign for Prof's Treatment - Update 9

Ladies and Gentlemen,
Last coupla weeks I was completely hooked up with the twin international conferences we were organizing on healthcare IT in Hyderabad and couldn’t spend much time on this.
Here comes the update:
v I understood from prof’s family (his daughter and Shri Mohan Reddy, his brother and Prof’s sister-in-law) that prof’s bone marrow test was normal – few days back – which is a very good news to all
v It appears that the treatment needs to be continued for couple more years
v GPREC principal told me that they invited him back to the college (Oct 2011)
v As per the recommendations of the aggregators and contributors, we’ve chosen to send our representative to Prof where he is getting treatment – Kanipakam along with get well soon cards for each of the batch with the names of the contributors written on it. Given the easier way, we chose to transfer the money online to Prof’s brother’s account provided by GPREC principal in an email as circulated earlier to all of you
v Thank you Sandhani for accepting to represent all of us and going to Kanipakam to see Prof and his family
v The amount aggregated so far into my account is Rs.4,89,412 + USD100 expected today
I have to update the contributions of last week or so and will be doing this in next one week and circulating the names and amount batchwise to all. That’d be the conclusion of this fund raising campaign. However, the fund book with individual names and contributions will be available with me and would be glad to provide the information on individual contributions.
I’d like to thank all of for your kind, compassionate and express support to this campaign and your reverence, respect and commitment to support someone from your college days. You are all simply superb human beings. Keep up the compassion and commitment.

It’s your contribution that got the ball rolling. Keep it up.
We are working on contributing and channelizing the contributions from those who are interested in doing so for the needy in the near future, periodically. Those who are interested to be part of this initiative pls do get in touch with me.

Dear All,
Our Alumni member Sandhani Basha (88 ECE) has visited our prof at Kanipakam and handed off a get well soon card on behalf of all of us (all contributors names written batchwise). Sandhani – thank you so much on behalf of all of the fine good people who are making this initiative work so well oiled - for taking pain and doing a detour and visiting prof’s family and representing all of us.
We’ve initiated the below specified amount transfer (on 30th April 2011) to his brother’s Andhra Bank account after talking to Prof and his brother Mohan Reddy. Given the amount is bigger than the RBI specified limit, it’ll take couple more days I guys to complete the transfer. Siva has received so more funds USD600 which we will transfer to this account as we receive.
Pls give me some more time to circulate the final list of contributors as I am expecting some more contributions from some other group in US.
