I'm using gp internet p2 and getting the download speed start from 52
Kbps. But it get slower and in 5-6 second this come down to 17-25 Kbps
with DAP. But normal download speed is 7-10 Kbps. Did anyone have any
information about tuning up the speed of gp internet. Thanks

hi,
actually speed mainly delpends on subscriber density and the set that
are used to connect the network. and the gp's network is TDMA
technology which means Time Division Multiple Access (if i am not
wrong!) thats why if you have a set with EDGE class 32 but if you are
in a single BTS location where subscriber density is notably large
then you may not get the expected speed but if you use a set with EDGE
class 6 in a BTS location where you are the only user then you could
get unexpected speed. Thans simple and one more thing about download
messanger specially for DAP i used it and i think the speed it showes
is not the actual speed suppose i am downloading a file then at first
it showed me about 220KB/s for few sec then it drops in 620B/s mean it
just a fake scale. it often shows higher speed to increase its
popularity. you can test its performance by using other download
manager. download speed drops for many reasons like if you have
spywere/virus/Trojan/Intruder in your machine, and some times OS/
antivirus/other-software automatically downloads updates these also
consumes the speed.

Thanks
