hi,

GPicsync is really great. In particular since it also handles canon
CR2 files pretty well.

I have some small desires:

1. I store the track files (GPX) in the same folder as I keep the
images. So after selecting the image folder, I would prefer if this is
also the default for locating the GPX file.

2. Would it be possible to update the GPX file (or write a new one)
with waypoints and the images found. This would allow to reuse this
file e.g. in "GPS Track Analysis"

3. Great feature is how you enter the difference between UTC and
camera time. Since this difference realy changes, it would be great if
it is also kept in the configuration file such that I don't have to
readjust this all the time.

4. Would it be possible to add the IPTC headline to the kmz-file and
also to the GPX - File.

thanks

Hi,

How such a GPX file would look like, is there an example somewhere I
could look at?

I think the best is to check in the field if the camera and GPS are
synchronized and if not to sync them straight away. The "Local time
correction" feature is there to help if you forgot it, had a problem
or want to sync old pictures where you don't know the time difference
(inside a session it will keep in memory the last values so you can
try by approximation).

I'm not sure what you mean exactly by IPTC headline can you describe
more precisely what you think/wish.

thanks

Sorry, I am not very familiar with the GPX format. So I tried with
"GPS Track Analyse". the file

<wpt lat="47.386292" lon="13.673683">
<ele>907.000000</ele>
<time>2007-07-09T07:55:08Z</time>
<name>hugo</name>
<cmt>Eriksberg Västra Götalands Län Sweden 0.08 Km to Eriksberg in
Västra Götalands Län Sweden geotagged geo:lat=57.699387
geo:lon=11.916072</cmt>
<sym>Parachute Area</sym>
</wpt>

Neverthelss, I would really like if it can be made permanent.

Synchronizing the Camera with GPS time is very diffucult. so i took a
picture
of the screen from my GPS device. Then it is very easy to synchronize
since
you see GPS time on the pic and camera date in the exif-data.

GPICsync makes an entry to an IPTC field, which looks like this:
Eriksberg Västra Götalands Län Sweden 0.08 Km to Eriksberg in Västra
Götalands Län Sweden geotagged geo:lat=57.699387 geo:lon=11.916072

I would like to see this entry also in the KMZ-file and the GPX-File.
