Hi All,

Just got message from Linux_GPIB team said they will announce to support S82357/F82357 in their next release linux_gpib 3.2.19.

Attachment is the new manual for the Linux driver and on page 12:

Beiming F/S82357
Linux_gpib support requires a minimum firmware version of 1.10 for the F82357 and version 1.20 for the S82357. These devices have on-board firmware and do not require a firmware upload before becoming functional afer plug-in. The on-board firmware can be re-flashed; contact the manufacturer for firmware and re-flash procedure.
Limitations:
• These devices can only be used as system controllers.
• They can only do 8-bit end-of-string (EOS) compares.

To find the version of the device in linux one can use the following command:

$ lsusb -vd 0957:0718 | grep -e iManufacturer -e iProduct -e iSerial -e bcdDevice
  bcdDevice            1.20
  iManufacturer           1 BEIMING Technologies, Inc.
  iProduct                2 S82357 ()
  iSerial                 5 CP10010514
$

$ lsusb -vd 0957:0718 | grep -e iManufacturer -e iProduct -e iSerial -e bcdDevice
  bcdDevice            1.10
  iManufacturer           1 BEIMING Technologies, Inc.
  iProduct                2 F82357 ()
  iSerial                 5 CY10010514
$

Thanks to the developer (Dave) for helping evaluate S82357/F82357.
