F82357 GPIB adapetr installation on Linux

Hello learned group,

I try to install a F82357 adapter on my laptop under Linux Mint. I am quite a beginner and I could not find a suitable "recipe".

and I downloaded the sw. Step 1 and 4 works, the other steps keep me puzzled. Step 4 clearly indicates the adapter is recognized. Basically step 2 and 3 keeps me searching on the web without much clarity.
Can someone help this newbie out please?
My goal is to read/control HPIB equipment (most of it HP) via Python scripts and or other sw available.
