We just got a message from a customer tried F82357 with TTi Waveform manager:
Hi Cheh,
Sorry to take so long to get back to you on this. I wanted to try your device on my Wavetek 29 10MHz DDS (same as Fluke 29/Datron 29/TTi TG1010) and see if I had the same issue with it as the Wavetek 39 (same as Fluke39/Datron39 and TTi TGA1230). Until today I had that instrument out on loan.
I am happy to report that it works perfectly with the 29 that has the latest version 1.9 EPROM firmware.
Currently I have a request into TTi (Thurlby-Thandar Instruments) www.tti-test.com to see if perhaps there is a firmware update for the 39 as it currently has version 1.7 firmware.
So for the moment let's hold tight and see if that could be the issue. Too bad these units don't have flash firmware.
It appears that your F version of the unit will aslo work with LeCroy ScopeExplorer as long as you first launch the Agilient software in 488 mode. I assume that it could also be used to update the firmware in a connected instrument as long as you either have the flash update file (the fla) or you are simultaneously connected to the internet but as of today I have not tried that. I may do this later and report.
Needless to say once I find that all is well I post something up on the LeCroy group that I moderate and let the members know that we finally have a low cost GPIB solution thanks to you fine efforts.
Sam
Any chance you might know where I can find the latest firmware (.hex) for the Wavetek 29?
