Turn on HEAPPROFILE environment variable for only a stipulated period of time, and then turn it off

Hello guys
I have a question about HEAPPROFILE environment variable. 
Is it possible to start a binary execution and then turn on HEAPPROFILE environment variable for only a stipulated period of time, and then turn it off ? 

What I wish to do, while the binary file is running, run HEAPPROFILE for 30 seconds starting from an arbitrary point and then turn it off. How do I accomplish this ?
