In the last week or so, we've received some spam messages sent through
this group. The group is set so that people can join it at any time
(which is great!).

But... messages from new members had to be approved first, so that
spammers can join and then send spam. That checkbox had been
accidentally turned off, which allowed some people to send spam. It's
back on now!

Sorry. That's a tiny loophole that was exploited.
