Again, a reminder of how we can all be involved in our mission to further God's Kingdom in the San Jose region
Dates: February 21- March 28. 5:30-6:45 PM
Spread the word and invite. This is your chance to bring many more to come and see our gospel-centered community in action! Many people have asked for a worship service like this as a better event to invite people. So now is the time to mobilize. You who are our most active gatherers (including those of you who may still feel new yourself), go! You who know people who may be interested but need help inviting: pass us your friends' addresses and we will send them an invitation. You who live thoroughly online: we will provide links and phrases to use as you spread the word on facebook, twitter, blogs, etc.
Welcome every newcomer. Now is the time to set the tone at every event as a warm, open, welcoming community. So we will welcome and include every newcomer. Say hi, invite them to dinner afterwards, engage in meaningful conversation beyond small talk. Not because they are your project, but because we want to be genuine friends and servants. We want to grow lasting relationships as we worship, serve, and grow together.
Bringing and welcoming is more important than running programs. For now, if you need to choose between hosting visitors or helping behind the scenes, choose the visitors. We will try to keep our volunteer needs on the simple side for these six weeks so that you are free to engage your friends. We are grateful for so many of you who have volunteered. Don't worry, we hope to need all of that help soon.
Be flexible. Bold action often means some things are not perfect. We will prepare diligently, but let's watch together for what we need to learn and adjust as we go. God will grow us as much as he grows his Kingdom.
Pray, Pray, Pray. In boldness and humility, we seek God's work in our communities. We just want to do our part in his expanding kingdom.
