John,

I think I've been her before but can't figure out the answer. I'm trying
to exclude some children from output in the Children Section in GP. In
SS, I limit details based on a flag and then for Excluded Limited I have
Show Name when Child unchecked. There isn't an equivalent Excluded
Limited section in GP. What settings do I need to not show certain children?

Chris,

Gedcom Publisher and GedSite do not have the same capability as Second Site. They can only limit details for living people. You can exclude people from the output, but for references to their names, you are limited to the properties in the People Section. You can either show the names of living children, or not, but you can’t decide on a person-by-person basis.

So, if you do not want person page (profile) entries, that’s not difficult to do, but if you want to show the names of some living children, but not others, that’s not possible without changing the database.

Thanks John. I've got round this by setting the Father-Bio tag to non-Primary for the children that I want to not show. This was an unusual circumstance where I think a second marriage and three children may have been assigned wrongly to one of the Included subjects. I did not want to detach the wife and children in my database as further research may reveal that the entries were correct after all. As these were early 1800s children, I also did not want to mark them as Living. I've made notes to remind myself what I've done.
