Geography2050: The Future of Mobility | November 16-17 in NYC
Of the trends that are going to reshape the geography of our planet over the coming decades, none will have a more profound impact than new innovations in Mobility. Just as railroads, automobiles, and airplanes reshaped our planet over the 19th and 20th century, we now must grapple with how mobility will be reinvented by the dawn of autonomous, electric, and shared mobility solutions, the emergence of autonomous flying taxi services and hypersonics, and the evolution of the next generation of mass transit, including HyperLoops. Old and new forms of mobility like bicycles and electric bicycles, skytrams and jetpacks will all play roles in this future. Together, these new forms of mobility will reshape our cities, our regions, and how they connect our planet. How will you help shape the world's thinking on these important issues?

McKinsey and RethinkX will be on hand to share their dueling visions for how the future of mobility may unfold. Leaders from cities and states that are grappling with this next generation of mobility solutions will be on hand to share there visions, along with leaders from public and private sector finance who will ultimately make all this possible. And this will not just be a discussion of future mobility technologies. It will be focused on the second and third order effects that these technologies will have on the future geography of our future world. This discussion will get you ahead of the curve so you can help do your part to build a future that is more sustainable, equitable, prosperous, and secure.
And afterwards, we have great cocktail events - the second of which will be in the iconic and picturesque Low Library Rotunda on the Columbia University campus to close everything off and bringing you lasting personal and professional connections.
